You would then sort them by anything you like and key right in on the best ones that have the most volume and least competition.

FOR ANY SITE TRYING TO USE SEO TO DIVERSIFY REVENUE INTAKE:

For this you have to find keyword phrases where:

• Monthly search volume is Greater than 15,000
  
• Competing pages < 500,000
  
• "Intitle" competing pages < 50,000
  

      
You would take a look at those results and then sort them in descending order of search volume. You will certainly find some gems right there!!
 
OR…let’s say you want to find some cheap click opportunities, you would find keyword phrases where:

• Monthly search volume is Greater than 150,000
  
• Adwords “cheap click” CPC < .20
  

    
You would then take those results and sort them in ascending order of CPC. You’ll find VAST sources of untapped traffic that you could use for any number of affiliate marketing projects!

FOR AN AFFILIATE CPA OFFER TO BE PROMOTED THROUGH ADWORDS:

You would cherry pick the competitions’ keywords for affiliate offer categories by looking for keyword phrases where:

• Others have used the keyword phrase to market the category you’re after (e.g. Acne)
  
• Monthly search volume is Greater than 150,000
  
• Adwords “cheap click” CPC < .15
  

You’re now looking at proven keywords that have enough volume and are cheap enough for you to buy traffic and make money with…simple as that.

FOR AN E-COMMERCE NICHE SITE:

If you can find niches where people already make money, but… where you can use your Internet marketing expertise to compete aggressively… that’s all good.

In this instance, you would have to look for keyword phrases where:

• The Monthly search volume is greater than 15,000
• The Competing pages < 500,000
• Intitle competing pages < 50,000
• Physical goods ARE being sold for this keyword

This will give you keyword phrases that get enough traffic, that you’re able to compete on with SEO, and where people are already selling goods. You would then get in there and take over the market.

Alternatively… If you don’t have the patience for SEO… and want to use Google Adwords to drive traffic immediately, you would have to look for keyword phrases where:

• Monthly search volume is greater than 150,000
• Adwords CPC's are < $0.20
• Physical goods ARE being sold for this keyword

5. Using the SID, we can include the source of the conversion, like the specific page title, and adjust accordingly. That's where this CJ SID Plugin for Joomla! 1.5 comes in!

The current version includes the following features:

• Automatically and consistently append an SID value to all CJ links throughout your Joomla! 1.5 site.
• Set up the plugin to send the page title as the SID value.
• Simple setup and configuration, install, add your CJ PID, select the SID value, enable and it's done.
• Requires no modification to your article or modules.
• Customizable SID value, choose from Joomla Username, Real Name, User ID, or Page Title
• Works with all CJ links (except encrypted links) including text, image and advanced links
• Joomla 1.5! Native
• Ignores links which already have SIDs, so you can customize on a per-link basis.

Setup and Configuration

This is an easy one to set up and use! Here's how to get things rolling with the CJ SID Plugin for Joomla! 1.5:

Installation

Install Extension

Joomla Extension Upload

• Download the CJ SID Plugin for Joomla! 1.5
• Log on as Administrator to your site
• Go to the Extension Installer (Extensions – Install/Uninstall)
• Upload the Package File (browse for the plg_pgcjsid.zip file) and click Upload File & Install

Configure

• Plugin Manager – (Extensions – Plugin Manager from the Admin Toolbar)

• Filter: "SID" and click Go

• Click the title, "System – Commission Junction SID Plugin"

• Get your CJ PID from the CJ Account Manager, Web site Settings Tab. If you have multiple websites configured in CJ, make sure to select the site on which you're installing this plugin!  This plugin currently supports only one PID per site.  If you have some CJ links that you don't want a sid value added, you can create and use a second pid.  The plugin will only add the sid to the CJ PID listed here.  Need this plugin to support multiple PIDs?  Send us a note and we'll put it on our list.

  

• Add your CJ PID in the Plugin Parameters box on the right

  

• Select the SID Value you'd prefer to use. The options available in this release are:
  • Username – The Username from the Joomla User Manager
  • Real Name – The Name field from the Joomla User Manager
  • User ID – The ID column in the Joomla User Manager
  • Title – The article title from the Joomla Article Manager
• Set the Access Level – You may wish to have this enabled for all visitors (Public), if so, please be aware that Username, Real Name and User ID will all appear in the SID as 'guest' for any visitor who is not logged on. If you would rather not include a SID value for guest visitors, set the access level to Registered.
  
  
• Enable the Plugin

  

For testing purposes, it is  suggested that you set the Access level to 'Special', then log on to your site as an Administrator and browse to pages with CJ links, inspect and click the links to make sure they're working and include the SID value.
